| Youth Speak Out Video
The Adoption Council of Canada, along with the Adoption Council of Ontario and the Community Champions Network, would like to introduce you to the first group of young people trained as part of the ACC's national Youth Speak Out project. These Ontario youth have now formed the Ontario Youth Network of Adoptable Kids/Youth Speak Out team.
Click here to see the video they created to reflect their messages about the impact of living in foster care, of being adopted, and of aging out of the foster care system without a family.
We'd like to thank Circle for Children Foundation, the Dave Thomas Foundation, the Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth (Ontario) and the North American Council on Adoptable Children for their support in helping us to create this pilot project. We hope to train teams like this across the country.
Members of the team are now available to speak to potential adoptive parents, social workers, judges, lawyers, educators, politicians, policymakers, and all those interested in permanency for children and youth in foster care. To contact them, please call the Adoption Council of Canada at 1-888-54-ADOPT (1-888-542-3678)
