CITOYENNETE ET IMMIGRATION CANADA DIVULGE LES STATISTIQUES POUR 2006
(Le 20 août 2007) Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada (CIC) a transmis
aujourd'hui au Conseil d'adoption du Canada les statistiques d'adoption
internationale pour 2006. Cette année, les Canadiens ont adoptés 1 535 enfants
de l’étranger, comparé à 1 871 l’année dernière. Encore une fois, la Chine est
demeurée le premier choix des familles canadiennes.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) today released the
international adoption statistics for 2006 to the Adoption Council of
Canada. In 2006 Canadians adopted 1,535 children from abroad, compared
to 1,871 the year before. Once again, China stayed by far the number
one choice of Canadian families.

international adoption statistics for 2005 to the Adoption Council of Canada.
In 2005 Canadians adopted 1,871 children from abroad, compared to 1,955 the
year before.

Canadians adopted 1,955 children from abroad in 2004, compared to 2,180 the year
before.

and found 1.6 million adopted kids in the U.S. In Canada the census
is silent on adoption.
