Lynn Haire, Director

Lynn Haire is a parent of three girls in St. John’s, Newfoundland.  Lynn and her husband, Cecil, adopted their first daughter from Romania in 1996.  Since then, Lynn has been involved in the adoption community.  Lynn worked as a facilitator for the former Partners in Inter-country Adoptions, assisting families to adopt from Romania and Kazakhstan.  She founded a not-for-profit support community called NLFAM (Newfoundland and Labrador Families Adopting Multiculturally).

Lynn has an education degree from Memorial University and works as a Business Analyst at Bell Aliant.  She has used this training background to present workshops at a NACAC conference in Tampa Bay and as a presenter in front of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration.  In the summer of 2010, Lynn’s article about reuniting with international birth family was published in Creating Families magazine.  In 2007, as a result of her community involvement, her company Bell Aliant presented her with the Community Spirit Award.  With the prize money awarded, Lynn setup an adoption related book collection at the A.C. Hunter Library in St. John’s Newfoundland.
