Scholarships

NACAC is excited to announce that we have conference scholarships available again this year.  We thank Jockey Being Family and for funding these scholarships.

Benefit to Parent Groups Who are Members of NACAC

This week, we mailed out the conference scholarship applications to our current parent group members. If you think your group is a current member and you did not receive a mailing by early next week, contact me and I will check your membership status.

If your group is not a member, then they can join NACAC as a parent group member ($45.00) and apply for a scholarship. Joining as a member, will not guarantee that the scholarship application submitted will be selected.

Applicant for scholarship

Each parent group can submit one application for one member. Larger organizations with multiple parent groups—where each group is a member—can submit one application per group. (For example if Hawaii Foster Parent Association sponsored 5 groups, one for each of 5 islands, then each of the groups could submit an application.)

The applicant applying for the scholarship must not have attended a NACAC conference before.

If you have attended a parent leadership training—usually a training with less than 100 people and only one breakout room—that is not the NACAC conference. You are eligible for the scholarship application as long as you are in a parent group that is a current member of NACAC. Below is a list of conferences for the past 11 years. Attendance at these disqualifies you from applying for a scholarship.
