ACC HOLDS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IN TORONTOThe Adoption Council of Canada will hold its 2003 Annual General Meeting in Toronto. All are welcome at the meeting, which starts at 6 p.m., Nov. 22, 2003 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel. See the agenda below. A highlight of the meeting will be a panel discussion on adoption research. Three prominent researchers -- Anne Westhues, Gail Aitken and Nancy Cohen -- will discuss the state of adoption research in Canada: where we are now and what needs to be done. Many prospective adoptive families will be in Toronto on Nov. 22 for the first day of Ontario's Adoption Resource Exchange, and so will have a chance to attend ACC's annual general meeting. The twice-yearly Adoption Resource Exchange brings prospective adoptive families from across Ontario to Toronto to talk to social workers about children available for adoption, and to attend the Adoption Council of Ontario's "Adoption Journey" conference.
